Dark wooden cabins in a wide snowfield beneath snow-covered mountains and a pale blue Arctic sky in Lofoten, Norway

Travel & landscape photographer

Quiet places, far from home.

I'm Noa, a photographer based in Lisbon. For twelve years I've followed early light from the Arctic to the Andes, for hotels, outdoor brands, magazines and the walls of people who love to travel.

Rooftops, trams and the slow light of Lisbon

After months on the road, the city I call home is still the one I photograph most. A walk through Alfama in the late afternoon, when the light turns everything to honey.

Walking the dune ridge before sunrise

Two nights at a desert camp near Merzouga, a 4:30 alarm, and a single line of footprints across a dune that would be gone by noon.

About

I'm Noa. I photograph the places that ask you to slow down.

For twelve years I've travelled with a camera and a habit of arriving early. I'm drawn to the quiet edges of well-known places: fishing villages before the boats leave, desert camps after the generator goes off, old streets once the tour groups have gone home.

My work has taken me to 47 countries on assignment for hotels, tourism boards, outdoor brands and travel magazines. Between commissions I print small editions of my favourite frames and lead a few photo journeys each year, always in small groups and always planned around the light.
